Anna Maria Island is Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) friendly. Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) is the term used to distinguish street legal registered and insured golf carts for use on public road ways with a max posted speed limit of 35 MPH.
If you are planning to fly to Tampa or Sarasota and need transportation to the island? There are several great transportation companies available to assist. Please call us and we can assist with recommendations. We strongly encourage you to schedule in advance to make sure you have a stress-free arrival from the airport to the island. Uber and Lyft are also an option if you prefer.
Don’t want sand in your car you drove here? No problem, rent a golf cart for your trips to the beach, dinner, shopping, and exploring our beautiful 7 miles of pristine beaches. There is no better way to get all your things to and from the beach. A golf cart makes parking near the beach a breeze. No driving on the beaches here, that’s what keeps this place so beautiful!
All of our carts are new 2021 year models, street legal, registered as Low Speed Vehicles (LSV). They can be driven on roads with a posted speed limit of 35 MPH or lower with no issue. Lucky for you this is most of AMI north of Coquina Beach! All drivers must be over 21, licensed, and insured. Children under 6 must ride in the appropriate car seat, and seat belts are strictly enforced by the local authorities.
AMI Rentals offers multi-day golf cart rentals for use on Anna Maria Island. Our minimum rental is 2 nights. We do offer discounts for longer periods, please call us for special pricing if you need a cart for 14 days or longer.
We are locally owned and family operated. Currently, we offer (2) – 4 passenger all electric Polaris GEM cars, (1) – 6 passenger all electric Polaris GEM car, (1) – 6 passenger gas golf cart, and (1) – 8 passenger gas golf cart. It is always wise to check with the property management company to ensure access to functioning electrical outlets to charge your cart nightly. If electricity is an issue gas golf carts are a great alternative and do not require charging.
We offer free delivery to your rental by 4:00pm on your arrival, we pick the cart up from your house, condo, or hotel on the day of departure at 10:00am.
